O Jelici Bujić
Jelica Bujić je umjetnička fotografkinja i autorka art otisaka čiji je život duboko isprepleten sa dinarskim prostorom. Odrasla je na izvoru rijeke Une u Lici, u Hrvatskoj, a danas živi uz obalu rijeke Zete u Crnoj Gori — oduvijek okružena dramatičnim i zadivljujućim pejzažima Dinarskih Alpa. Jelica osjeća prirodnu povezanost s planinama koje je okružuju, i koje fotografiše s dubokim poštovanjem — od same planine Dinare i majčinog sela u srcu Dalmacije, preko padina Velebita, sve do Lovćena, Durmitora i Bjelasice.
She studied photography at the Saint Martin’s School of Art in London and refined her practice under the mentorship of acclaimed photographer David Hamilton. Over the years, she has developed a distinct visual language — one that blends silence with the untamed beauty of the natural world. Her work moves between the quiet Adriatic shores and the rugged aesthetics of the mountain regions, always carrying with it stories woven from lived experience.
Moving between Croatia and Montenegro, Jelica works directly in the landscape — present on site, observing, listening, and absorbing the essence of places that hold meaning for her. In her studio, which also houses a small print workshop, she carefully brings each print to its final form — transforming personal moments into visual narratives that reflect her profound connection to the Adriatic and Dinaric landscapes.
Jelica’s journey through photography is also a path of self-discovery. Each piece reflects a chapter of her exploration into human connection and emotion, using the camera to tell stories that are both deeply personal and universally resonant. Her collections are carefully curated to showcase her passion for the diverse Adriatic landscapes — from tranquil seashores to vivid mountain vistas.
